Amy Ferreira is the practice manager and co-owner of Village Veterinary Hospital. Amy is a Dartmouth native who graduated from Dartmouth High School before attending the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she graduated with a BA.

While finishing her degree, Amy became acquainted with veterinary medicine and realized that was where her true calling lay. This is what encouraged her to follow her dream along with Dr. Brito, to establish The Village. Amy manages the daycare, staff and hospital. Without her constant guidance, we’re certain chaos would ensue!

When she’s not overseeing the operation, Amy can be found cuddling with her dog, Reef, or her cat, Gus. She might even sneak in a horseback ride on her horses Radley and Sugar. However, Amy's favorite place is the ocean, and whenever she can sneak away she goes sailing. Just don't challenge her to a race— she’ll win!

Jacqueline A. Brito, DVM is our staff veterinarian and co-owner of Village Veterinary Hospital, Inc. Dr. Brito is a Dartmouth native. After graduating from Dartmouth High School, Dr. Brito attended Middle Tennessee State University where she majored in Animal Science. She was very involved in their equestrian programs. After graduating with honors, Dr. Brito attended The University of Tennessee Knoxville for Veterinary School. Dr. Brito graduated in 2009 and returned home to Massachusetts.

After graduation, Dr. Brito worked at several veterinary clinics, but really wanted a job that involved mixed animal medicine. So Dr. Brito chose to strike out on her own, establishing NWG Veterinary Services. NWG is the predecessor of Village Veterinary Hospital. Both NWG and VVH treat large and small animals in the local community.

When not working, Dr. Brito enjoys playing with her Australian Cattle Dogs, Newt, Witt and Laser, or riding her horses Twister and Doc. If you’re really lucky, you might even get to watch her sort cows or team rope – her two favorite hobbies.
