Village Veterinary Hospital, established in 2010, is a locally owned and operated hospital for animal care and treatment. We offer second opinions on medical treatment for animals and have advanced infrastructure and equipment.
Amy Ferreira
Practice Manager
Amy Ferreira is the co-owner and practice manager of Village Veterinary Hospital. A native of Dartmouth, Amy is a Dartmouth High School and University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth graduate.
During her education, Amy got acquainted with veterinary medicine and figured out that it was her true passion. She joined hands with Jacqueline A. Brito to establish Village Veterinary Hospital. She manages the daycare, hospital operations, and staff. Without her constant guidance, the hospital would be extremely chaotic.
During her free time, Amy is mostly found cuddling her dogs Reef, Foggy, Halyard and Trevi or her cat Gus. Sometimes, she even sneaks in a horseback ride on the beach with her horses Radley and Cricket. Amy loves the ocean and goes sailing whenever she gets the chance on her J/30.
Dr. Jacqueline A. Brito
Jacqueline A. Brito, DVM, a Dartmouth native, is the co-owner and staff veterinarian of Village Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Brito is a Dartmouth High School and Middle Tennessee State University graduate with a major in Animal Science. Dr. Brito is also a 2009 University of Tennessee Knoxville for Veterinary School graduate. She was always involved in the equestrian programs.
Ever since her education, Dr. Brito worked in several veterinary clinics, but she has always wanted a job that involves mixed-animal medicine. Unable to find one, she decided to start a veterinary hospital on her own and established NWG Veterinary Services. NWG is the predecessor of Village Veterinary Hospital. Both NWG and VVH treat large and small animals in the local community.
During her free time, Dr. Brito plays with her Portuguese Podengo Pequeno Azores and Australian Cattle Dogs Darya, Tuck, Route, and Laser. She's also seen riding her horses Twister and Ricky. If lucky, you might get to watch her engage in sorting cattle and team roping events, her two favorite hobbies.
